Creatr ("we", "our", or "us") is a marketplace that connects creative professionals with clients who want to book their services. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding your personal data.

By using the Creatr app or website, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

1. Information We Collect

We collect information you provide directly and information generated by your use of the app.

• Account information: Your name, email address, and profile picture, obtained when you sign in via Replit authentication (OpenID Connect).
• Profile information: Your location, biography, service categories, portfolio content (photos and video clips), and pricing that you choose to add to your creative profile.
• Booking information: Details of bookings you create or receive, including event type, date, location, and any gig brief notes you submit.
• Payment information: We use Stripe to process payments. We do not store your full card number or bank details. Stripe may collect and store payment data in accordance with its own privacy policy. We store transaction records such as amounts, dates, and booking references.
• Location information: Approximate location you provide in your profile or search queries, used to surface nearby creatives and calculate travel fees. We do not track your device location in the background.
• Messages: Content of messages exchanged between clients and creatives on the platform.
• Usage information: App interactions, pages viewed, search queries, and crash reports, collected to improve performance and user experience.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To create and maintain your account and profile.
• To facilitate bookings and process payments between clients and creatives.
• To send booking confirmations, reminders, and service notifications.
• To display your profile and portfolio to potential clients.
• To calculate travel fees and show location-relevant search results.
• To detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and violations of our Terms of Service.
• To improve and develop the Creatr platform and user experience.
• To comply with legal obligations.

3. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only in the following circumstances:

• Between users: Your public profile information (name, photo, bio, portfolio, ratings, and pricing) is visible to all users of the platform. Booking details are shared between the relevant client and creative.
• Stripe: Payment data is shared with Stripe, Inc. for payment processing and Stripe Connect payouts. See Stripe's Privacy Policy.
• Replit: Authentication is handled via Replit (OpenID Connect). See Replit's Privacy Policy.
• Legal requirements: We may disclose information if required by law, court order, or to protect the safety of our users or the public.
• Business transfers: If Creatr is acquired or merged, your data may transfer to the new entity under the same privacy commitments.

4. Data Retention

We retain your account and booking data for as long as your account is active and for a reasonable period afterward for legal and business purposes. Portfolio media is deleted when you remove it from your profile. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time (see Section 7).

5. Security

We use industry-standard security measures including TLS/HTTPS encryption for all data in transit and encrypted storage for sensitive data. Payment processing uses Stripe's PCI-DSS-compliant infrastructure. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

6. Children's Privacy

Creatr is intended for users aged 17 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with their data, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

7. Your Rights & Choices

Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:

• Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
• Correction: Update or correct inaccurate data through your profile settings.
• Deletion: Request deletion of your account and personal data. Email us at support@creatrapp.com with the subject "Account Deletion Request".
• Portability: Request an export of your data in a machine-readable format.
• Opt-out of notifications: Manage push notification preferences in your device settings.

8. Third-Party Links

The app may contain links to third-party websites or services. We are not responsible for their privacy practices. We encourage you to review their privacy policies before providing any personal information.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by posting the new policy in the app and updating the effective date above. Continued use of Creatr after changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.

10. California Privacy Rights (CCPA)

11. International Users

Creatr is operated from the United States. If you access the app from outside the US, your information may be transferred to and processed in the United States, where data protection laws may differ from those in your country.
